Google Forgets to Erase out Detailed Shots of White-House

Google has recently updated and added new data for over 100 cities in their Google Earth program. In this it includes the Washington DC area, and Google has forgotten to erase out the roof of the white-house (which they have done previously).

  3. This may be a dumb question but is it a federal law making it illegal to have aerial photos of the white house?

  4. I’m disappointed. I always thought those little grey rectangles would be hiding some radar dishes and missile launchers, or at least a few black-clad mutant ninja commandos…

  6. Are the treasury buildings’ (the buildings to the immediate west and east) roofs in tact? I’ll bet those are better spots to put defenses…

In response to Jayson Elliot: “or at least a few black-clad mutant ninja commados…” If you could spot them from this image, then the IMNCA (International Mutant Ninja Commandos Alliance)would revoke their membership for being spotted so easily. They are ninjas, duh! Have you ever seen a ninja???…

  9. So……what’s the big deal? Every other city in the world has high res info. Given the type of person that this information would be useful to to commit dastardly deeds with, I would submit that they already had it, and more.

    My thoughts exactly.

    There are supposed to be armed secret service snipers stationed on the roof… In the original (larger) Google image, you can make the shadow of a human figure standing on the left side of the building, inside the white rectangle.

  12. Even more interesting stuff! The capitol building is no longer blurred out either. And check out area 51 (just west of rachel, nv) it is a hi-res picture now too! Wow, lots of contraversy.. first the austrailian nuclera plant, now the white house and capitol building, then area 51.. what’s next!?!?
